Peru

Peru is easily one of my favorite countries I’ve traveled to—and this page is where I’m sharing everything from my time there. It’s the kind of place that gives you a little bit of everything: coast, desert, mountains, history, and adventure, all in one trip.

I started in Miraflores, then made my way to Ica to sandboard through the dunes in Huacachina. From there, I headed up to Cusco and visited Machu Picchu, which somehow still managed to live up to the hype. Each stop felt completely different from the last, which is what makes traveling through Peru so exciting!

Peru is known for its incredible diversity, not only in landscapes, but in culture and history. It’s home to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and has thousands of varieties of potatoes (which I still think is wild!). As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable navigating it all on my own, which made the experience even better. If you’re planning a trip, or just curious what it’s like, this page pulls together all of my experiences, tips, and guides from traveling through Peru.
